Financial Literacy Webinar 2025 - First Semester: A Deeper Look into the Financing Sector
Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia (MLCI) reaffirmed its commitment to promoting financial literacy by successfully hosting the Financial Literacy Webinar 2025 First Semester, under the theme “A Deeper Look into the Financing Sector.” The event was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Plaza Bank Index, Thamrin, Central Jakarta.
This initiative is part of Mitsui Leasing’s ongoing support for improving public understanding of financial services, in line with the implementation of Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) No. 03 of 2023 on financial literacy and inclusion.
Nearly 100 participants joined the webinar, representing various segments of society such as MSME entrepreneurs, employees, housewives, and university students. MLCI collaborated with two other financing companies, CIMB Niaga Finance (CNAF) and SMFL Leasing Indonesia—to deliver a diverse and informative session.
Three speakers, each from a different company, shared valuable insights and experiences. The first session was presented by Mrs. Lusiantini, Corporate Secretary and Head of Corporate & Marketing Communication Division at CNAF, who discussed the importance of personal financial management and introduced participants to the role of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
The next session featured Ms. Widya Kridawidyani, Head of Legal & Compliance and Financial Literacy & Inclusion Function at SMFL Leasing Indonesia, who elaborated on the role of financial institutions and the business models of financing companies in Indonesia.
The final session was delivered by Mr. Wasistyo Adi Saras Putro, Corporate Secretary and Head of Legal Division at MLCI, who provided a detailed explanation of the customer complaint process, the Financial Information Services System (SLIK), Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML-CFT) principles, and fraud prevention strategies in the financial sector.
In addition to the informative sessions, participants also took part in an interactive quiz designed to test their knowledge of financial literacy and the topics discussed. The enthusiasm was evident from the high number of questions during the Q&A session and the active participation in the quiz. Exciting prizes were given out to further engage the audience.
Through this event, Mitsui Leasing hopes that participants will gain a deeper understanding of financial service institutions, improve their personal financial management skills, and become more aware of their rights and responsibilities in the financing ecosystem. Mitsui Leasing remains committed to supporting financial education and expanding financial inclusion across Indonesia.
